The city of Iquitos is located in the northeast of the northern Amazon in Peru. It developed in the rubber age (end of the 19th century) and now has a population of approximately 800.000 to 1.000.000 inhabitants. Linked to the outside world by air and by river, it´s the world´s largest city that cannot be reached by road.
It has lots of historical buildings and beautiful attractions, like:
